Psyche: A Novelette

Writer's picture: Holly WrightHolly Wright

The following is a glimpse into an imagined world where there is proof given of an afterlife. While the entire world would reel in the face of such knowledge, I wanted to focus on a single character. I wanted a close-up snapshot of what that information would look like for someone lost in their grief, especially if that grief came from a place of violence.

Jane, Eloise, Daniel, Desmond, and Joe are unlikely to appear in the eventual novel-length version of this story. Still, their story was important for me to tell.

This is Psyche.
